Acts 2:41-47

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Grace vs Liberty In The Life Of The Christian

The "grace" preached by the vast percentage of American preachers is not true Christian liberty; it is antinomian license. It says, "Don't tell me how to live, where I can go, how I can dress, how long my hair can be, what music I can listen to, what kind of church I can attend, whether or not I can drink or smoke or dance."

 In contrast, consider the following definition of Christian grace by the apostle Paul: "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, DENYING UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY LUSTS, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:11-13).

Age Segregation Is Hurting The Church

I'm all for children's ministry and youth ministry BUT NOT as a substitute for the assembling together of the saints. Age segregation in the church hurts everybody. This guy is right on target.

Should Christians Use Musical Instruments In Worship?

The Jews did not use instruments in worship after the destruction of Solomon’s Temple. 
They consider the use of instruments in the synagogue to be wrong because they were specifically part of the temple worship. 

So for five hundred years before the beginning of the church, and for almost five hundred years afterward in the church, instruments other than the human voice were not used. 

If the apostles and the church of the first century did not use instruments in worship, then their controversial addition five hundred years later seems more and more like one of those additions made by men.

The Bible never requires instruments. Even if they were allowed in the temple worship, they were never required. I know of few people who would say that we can worship God by singing, but it must be accompanied by an instrument. Most would say it is acceptable to sing without them. If it is acceptable to sing without them, and possibly questionable to sing with them, then why not be safe and sing without them? 

If the Jews themselves would not sing to God with them, other than in the Temple, why should we? 

Tithing Was Never The First Fruits Offering

Here is one area many Christians are confused about: Whether Before The Law Or After The Law, Tithing Was Never The First Fruits Offering

The first fruits offering was when the Israelites brought a portion of the fruits that ripened first as an offering. These were looked on as a pledge of the coming harvest, which would then be tithed. The first fruits offering was NEVER the tithe.
